Logo Distribution Procedures

Any entity or persons wishing to use the SCNHC logos must have written permission from the Director of Visitor and Public Relations, the Marketing Director or the Executive Director PRIOR to printing. A specific description must be given to one of the three afore mentioned persons to be reviewed before the logo can be distributed by any member of the SCNHC staff. After the logo is distributed, a final proof must be reviewed and have written documentation that logo use has been approved. Any changes to the proof must also be reviewed for approval. The approval for use of the SCNHC logo is at the sole discretion of the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor and based on consideration of the following criteria: 

  • The content of the publication must enhance the mission of the SC National Heritage Corridor program as described below.
  • At least 50% of the publication content must be about areas located within the 14 counties of the SCNHC.
  • Admission is available to the general public without discrimination on the basis of race, creed, age, sex, or nationality according to South Carolina law.
  • The content of the publication promotes actual physical locations of travel related attractions, businesses, accommodations, etc. (i.e., brochures for websites, travel agents, etc., are prohibited). South Carolina addresses and telephone numbers are included on the brochure.
  • The logo must remain intact and unchanged including its shape, fonts, colors and background. The logo pantone colors are as follows: Yellow 114 U; Blue 2747 U; Red 1797 U.

 
 The South Carolina National Heritage Corridor is a grassroots economic development initiative designed to spread the benefits of tourism into the rural areas of South Carolina. The Heritage Corridor encompasses fourteen counties along the southwestern part of the state and received its national, federal designation in 1996 and is one of only 37 national heritage areas in the nation.

The SC National Heritage Corridor, through a public and private partnerships provides opportunities for communities and organizations to conserve and develop their historical, cultural, and natural assets so they many contribute to the sustainable economic revitalization of the Heritage Corridor. It is the mission of the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor to promote development in the areas of conservation and preservation; education and interpretation; and nature-based recreation while serving economic development.
