Gardening Class: Planning a Fall Vegetable Garden
Date: August 21, 2008
Time: 10:00am - 12 noon
South Carolina’s climate gives us plenty of time to grow both cool- and warm-season vegetables and herbs, and fall gardens are often very productive. Plan and plant now for a continuing fall harvest of specialty lettuces, greens, edible flowers, and herbs. We’ll talk about how to select vegetables and herbs that do well in autumn, winter, and beyond. Create a beautiful, enjoyable, and productive “kitchen garden” by focusing on successive cropping and small-scale cultivation this fall.
Venue: Nature Learning Center in the South Carolina Botanical Gardens
