Learning From Cemeteries Training

In this session you will learn the history of American cemetery planning and what information can be learned by simply looking at the iconography on the grave carvings. Jennifer Satterthwaite of the SC State Historic Preservation Office will lead the lecture and tour that will focus on burial practices from the middle ages through today, grave iconography, materials & design.
