Abbeville Spring Festival

Historic Abbeville’s 29th Annual “Spring Festival On the Square” will be held Thursday April 28, (rides and food only), Friday and Saturday, April 29, May 1, 2010.
The goal each year is to attract people to our Historic Square . Thus, we always have a new attraction. In addition to the wonderful entertainment, arts and crafts, food vendors, rides and great downtown shopping will be available. This year, our Livery Stable has been renovated and will be open to the public featuring special presentations.
Thursday evening, April 29, we pay tribute to our merchants and sponsors. Without the support of these individuals, businesses and corporations, the Festival would not be the success it is today. On this same Thursday evening, rides will be open to the public at a special price. You can purchase a wristband and ride from 6:00-11:00pm. Evening entertainment will be provided by Steele Justice Band.
Friday and Saturday the Square will be filled with crafts, food and amusement rides for children. Friday will end with a street dance featuring an Abbeville favorite, The Edgewood Band.
Saturday will begin with crafts, food and rides featured all day. The day is highlighted by back to back entertainment of some of the areas’ best performers. In addition to crafts, rides and food, the day offers an antique car show, tours of the Burt Stark Mansion and Bundy McGowan House and a flower show.
The Festival will close Saturday evening with a free concert by a returning favorite, “The Swingin’ Medallions” at 8:00pm.
