Edgefield's Birthday Bash: Celebrating 225 Years
Date: March 20, 2010
Time: 7:00pm
On Saturday, March 20th at the Edgefield Gym, the Edgefield Community Development Association is hosting a birthday bash in honor of Historic Edgefield and Edgefield County’s 225 years of history. With the generous support from Mayor Ken Durham and the Town of Edgefield, the Edgefield Community Development Association is able to recognize this special event for our citizens and the county at large.
Live music from the Key West Band will fill the air, and there will be heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Advance tickets are $17.50 for singles and $35.00 for couples and are available for purchase at the Edgefield County Chamber of Commerce, the Freshwater Coast Discovery Coast as well as downtown Edgefield merchants. Look for the “Tickets sold here” signs around town.
Doors open at 7pm with the band starting at 8pm. Tickets will be available at the door at a cost of $20.00 for singles and $40.00 per couple. This is a casual, fun event – so make sure you wear your favorite dancing shoes!
With 225 years of history, the Town of Edgefield has much to be proud of...do you realize that in 1785 as the Town of Edgefield and Edgefield County was developing, so was our great nation? Can you believe that George Washington was not yet our nation’s first president and the Town of Edgefield was formed just 9 years after the signing of Declaration of Independence?
Be sure to mark your calendar for Saturday, March 20th at 7pm and come have fun at the Edgefield’s Birthday Bash. Be a part of Edgefield’s history and come celebrate with your friends and family.
$17.50 each in advance / $20.00 each at the door
