Whitney Ellis "The reason that I love Heritage Tourism is it gives me a chance to fulfill two of my passions exploring through traveling and history. I was a history major so heritage tourism gives me a chance to share my love of all things old. I give this history to people in a way that makes them interested; not just repeating facts but making the facts a story of people, everyday life, love, hate, and sometimes death. The other half of my job is planning events and tours. I am helping people discover areas and places in the state that are new to them. I have a great job that is never dull; in a different county each week, helping places to become more successful in rural tourism." |

Of all the communities that we are involved in and all of the people I have been fortunate enough to meet and work with, it has left me with much respect and appreciation for where I came from.
